Transhield covers are custom-designed to fit virtually any modular product, including modular buildings, prefabricated units, modular homes, bathroom pods, and mechanical modules. Modular units face road debris, wind, rain, dust, and UV exposure during transport. Our covers are built with heavy-duty construction to withstand those demands: the fabric resists punctures, stays secure at highway speeds, and provides a snug fit that keeps moisture, dirt, and environmental factors from reaching the product. Units arrive at the delivery site in the same condition they left the factory.

Modular buildings and components often sit in outdoor storage for weeks or months before installation. Our covers block rain, dust, UV rays, and airborne pollutants while the anti-condensating inner layer wicks moisture away to prevent rust, mold, and mildew, even in harsh weather conditions. The snug, custom fit also helps keep out pests and rodents that can damage wiring, insulation, and interiors. It’s a level of protection that standard plastic pallet covers or single-use wrap can’t deliver.

VCI stands for Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor. Transhield’s optional VCI additive releases protective vapor molecules that form a barrier on metal surfaces, blocking moisture and oxygen from causing rust. This technology reduces corrosion by up to 95%, which makes a significant difference for manufacturers with modular units containing metal components that sit in storage or in transit for extended periods.

When modular buildings and components ship from the factory or sit in outdoor storage waiting for installation, exposure to the elements can cause cosmetic and functional damage that leads to costly rework or warranty claims. Transhield covers are built to a custom size for each unit, protecting the entire unit from corrosion, UV degradation, scratching, and moisture damage. Shrink wrap can conform to shape but lacks breathability, trapping moisture underneath and accelerating corrosion. 

A high-quality pallet cover or tarp blocks rain but doesn’t address condensation or UV damage.
