At Transhield, we have been making protective covers for decades. But the best measure of our work has always been the same: what our customers say about us. That is why we run customer satisfaction surveys, and that is why we wanted to share what we learned from our most recent one.
In August 2025, we sent the survey to 521 customers across marine, construction, modular building, energy, defense, HVAC, and transportation. Ninety of them took the time to respond. The people who answered are ones who actually use our covers every day. They are procurement leaders, production engineers, operations managers, and quality teams. Their feedback shapes how we plan, build, and improve.
Here is what they had to say.

A Net Promoter Score of 84
Let’s start with the headline number. Our Net Promoter Score, or NPS, came in at 84. NPS measures how likely customers are to recommend a company to a colleague or friend. A score above 50 is considered excellent in any industry, and 84 puts Transhield well above that mark.
What Customers Said About Our Products

When customers were asked about the overall quality of our covers, 60.47% said they were extremely satisfied and another 37.21% said they were satisfied. The same pattern showed up across product performance:
- 62.79% extremely satisfied with how our covers protect their equipment assets, with 27.91% satisfied
- 59.30% extremely satisfied with the fit and appearance of our covers, with 32.56% satisfied
- 58.14% extremely satisfied with the ease of installation, with 30.23% satisfied
The comments told the story behind the numbers. One customer wrote, “Transhield products are always top-notch and perform extremely well. The VCI coating really helps while equipment is in storage.” Another said, “Packaging fits just right and keeps our equipment safe. We have little to no issues with their products.”
For marine customers, that protection often shows up as keeping boats clean and ready for transport. For construction and modular builders, it shows up as covers that hold up through long storage and rough handling. As one modular manufacturer customer put it, “These Transhield wrap covers have tremendously helped our business. They give our product a professional look and have created an efficient process wrapping our bathrooms.”
Customer Service That Goes Beyond the Sale

One area we work hard on is service, and the results showed it. Across every customer service question, satisfaction numbers were among the highest in the survey:
- 75.58% extremely satisfied with the knowledge of their customer service agent, with 20.93% satisfied
- 72.09% extremely satisfied with how fast their calls and emails are answered, 20.93% satisfied
- 69.77% extremely satisfied with how quickly issues are handled, with 25.58% satisfied
The quotes hit home for us. One customer wrote, “The product itself is great, but honestly I’m very happy with Transhield because of my sales rep. He is always available when I need him and he gets things taken care of quickly. I know if I am in a bind he will help me out ASAP. Never heard him tell me no, it’s always I’ll take care of it.”
When asked what they value most about working with us, another customer answered: “trust, loyalty, and knowing that whatever the problem, Transhield will work with us until a solution is found.” That kind of partnership is exactly what we aim for.
A Custom Fit Makes the Difference
A lot of cover companies sell off-the-shelf products. We build custom-fit covers for each piece of equipment, and the survey made it clear that customers notice the difference.
“The support for prototype parts is excellent. The follow up with the design was exceptional,” one customer wrote. When asked what they found most beneficial about Transhield, another customer pointed to “the ability to make custom fit Transhield bags that are unique to our project needs.”
Custom design touches like access doors, felt lining, vents for air circulation, buckles for easy removal, and strapping that pulls tight around the unit came up again and again in customer comments. These features come from years of working closely with engineers and production teams to figure out what actually works.
Ease of Installation Saves Time
For production teams, time is money. Covers that take too long to install slow everything down. The survey showed that ease of installation is one of the biggest wins our customers see:
- “The custom fit covers are easy to install and easy to teach new people to install.”
- “The ease of install compared to what we were doing previously is a huge benefit.”
- “Fit covers save production time with covering the boats.”
That mix of fit, quality, and quick installation is why custom-fit covers pay for themselves over time. A cover that goes on faster, lasts longer, and protects better keeps production lines moving and equipment in good shape.
On-Time Delivery and Clear Communication
We also asked customers about delivery and communication, two areas where things can break down with any supplier:
- 62.5% extremely satisfied with on-time delivery performance, with 32.95% satisfied
- 72.73% extremely satisfied with communication, with 21.59% satisfied
- 68.18% extremely satisfied with product support and training, with 26.14% satisfied
When you are running a production schedule or a shipping window, late deliveries cost real money. Customers told us they count on Transhield to show up when promised. As one customer put it, “On Time Delivery and Quality is most beneficial to us to reduce costs.”
Why This Matters
Surveys are useful, but only if a company actually listens to them. For us, the 2025 results confirm a few things and point us toward areas where we can keep getting better.
What customers told us they value most:
- Covers that protect their equipment, no matter the conditions
- A custom fit that makes installation faster and looks more professional
- A service team that picks up the phone, answers questions, and sees problems through
- On-time delivery they can plan around
- A long-term partner, not just a vendor
That last one might be the most important. Our customers trust us with their products, their customers, and their reputation.
